Mud and snow tires (pred)
#1
I have the 2004 Predator, and it's getting about that time for mud tires (spring... finally). I was looking at the ITP Mudlights, and I didn't know for sure what the best is. I will also be using the tires during next winters snowy seasons. Thanx for the info.

mudlites on a pred... that would be funny lookin... but neat..
i dont think they will clear the heel gaurds though... how small do they come.... i think the most you could go on a pred w/o hitting the gaurds is 22

Dude, get some ITP blackwaters. They rip in mud, snow, loose pack dirt, etc. I run 20x12x10's and I am very pleased with them.

Any tire I ever used that was made for mud just plain sucked in snow. They are totally different types of media. Sand tires work good in snow because they can float above it but mud tires are made for digging in. Its worth it to just get dedicated seasonal tire.

BadAZZ - They are similar to the mudsharks as far as aggressive tread goes. I never ran the GBC treads, so I'm not sure how they hold up over time. As far as the BW's go, they fix the traction problem that the Razr's cause, and I have run them for over a year in the desert and on some really ugly terrain with zero problems. In my first month on the Razr's I wore them down to less than 50% tread, had 1 sidewall blowout and 4 flats PLUS the traction problem. I picked mine up at Magic Racing for under $199 on a set on .190 douglas rims.
