From 4x4 to 2x4?

Default From 4x4 to 2x4?

If I take the front drive out of my scrammy, what do i have to do to my tranny to make it just 2x4?

Also, i am looking at a tranny for a 94 sport, it has to levers coming out of it, mine only has one. What would the two be for?

Default From 4x4 to 2x4?

The tranny's are the same you don't have to do anything to it.The only thing they do from the factory is gear the 4x4 down with the sprockets to the back.

but what about the shaft for the 4x4? Does that just stay in?

Sure doe's,if you look at my pic's you can tell mine was a 4x4 at one time also.

frame is 96, motor is 99, tranny is..... dont know yet, have to buy one still, just want to be sure one that is 4x4 will work

I see,well i dont see why you couldn't just cut the front shaft at the case.Or you could look for an earlier tranny.Mine was the older type with the chain drive to the front.

I am trying to find one to buy. Have seen a couple 4x4 and a couple 2x4, just gotta see what my newer 4x4 one sells for before i buy anything. I wasnt sure about just leaving the shaft there or what, but i guess it wouldnt hurt anything....
