400 & 300 FIX
#1
MY 400 & 300 ARE READY TO BE PUT BACK TOGETHER. CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME SOME TIPS ON REASSEMBLING THEM? I WILL BE INSTALLING NEW WISECO PISTONS ,PUTTING THE CYLINDERS BACK ON, BORED .020 OVER,AND REINSTALLING THE HEADS.
I HAVE ONE MORE QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU. MY 400 IS CHAIN DRIVE TO THE BACK, I KEEP KNOCKING THE ROLLERS OFF THE CHAIN. I HAVE REPLACED THE CHAIN AND FRONT SPROCKET ONCE ALREADY. ANY IDEAS, TIPS,AND OR SUGGTION WOULD BE HELPFUL. THANKS!!

i would suggest getting owners manuals if you arent quite mechanically talented... it will kinda walk you through it.
otehr than that its pretty strait forward... if it dont fit then it dont go there...

torque everything down to correct specs starting from the center and working your way out, clean everything well, make sure to wash the jugs in soap and water to remove boring grit that is very important, use assembly lube on the pistons and cylinder walls make sure you stagger the ring gaps...

but really if you think you might have some trouble with it get the manual... it will tell you everything you need to know and alot of BS that dont really matter.
and besides you cant trust trailrider (although he is right about what he said...) because he is half yamaha blooded...
