Default Adjustable proportioning valve

I was having a tough time getting used to the brake lever being on the "wrong" side after riding dirt bikes since I was 13, but now I'm having trouble with the factory brake setup working both front and rear brakes. I think it's great for my kids, but I use my foot for rear brakes like old times, and I know how much fun hittin' the front brakes and kickin' out the rear of my quad can be. Because of this I have been thinking of adding an adjustable brake line proportioning valve to the rear line, and then I could turn them down for me, and back up if the kids ride. I have seen a few kits to separate the systems, but I've never heard of anyone doing this prop valve thing. It should be very simple to do, and the parts would be around $40. Any thoughts or has this been done already?
Thanks,
Curt

SLP (I THINK) sells a brake splitter kit so you can have seperate fron and rear brakes on these, but it is spendy 140.00
