I have a '99 Sportsman 335. Recently (if you haven't read my other post) I have been having electrical trouble. Today I did some testing and found out I can pull-start the 335 and it will run. The ignition key switch works properly and so does the shutoff switch. However, I still have no power to the speedo.,headlights, starter, etc. Also, when I try to rev the engine up it cuts out and won't rev at all. The reverse override button is hooked up to a light and is working backwards: When I press the button my light goes out and when I release the button the light comes on. Anyone know what faulty component(s) would cause this phenomenon?

 

Hey its just a guess but sounds like a bad ground to me I would check battery cables. Check the frame to engine ground if you have one .Like I say its just a guess . Hope ti helps
