axle fell out

Default axle fell out

how do change front springs without the axle falling out of the hub? (in the cv boot) whats the secret
of getting it back in?

If you leave your a-arm attached you can still get the spring out. It takes a little prying but you don't take the chance of the joint separating. As far as putting it back together, the bad news is you must remove the boot to line things up again.

good luck Ive separated the cv-joint 3 times. Only put it back once without taking off boot, but it would have been quicker to take off boot. Also dont run it unless your absolutely 100% sure you have it in correctly otherwise you will round off the splines, then you'll have another hour trying to fix those. Just take off the boot and save your self some trouble. Learn from my mistake this time. good luck

thanks took off small end of boot. it was still a mothe$%&?!r put it back with a hose clamp.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
