Default serious brake problems!!

today i took apart my brakes because they were leaking out of the back cylinder because the brake pads are .050 and theyre suppose to be .150 at the minimum. so i was wondering if i could block the front line that goes to the rear brake cylinder so the fronts will not work the backs at all which is wat i want and the foot petal will just be able to work the backs. is this possible?? any help will be greatly appreciated!

Yes you can here is how i did it... You need a junction box so it will be one line (from your foot brake) goes to the (box) then it will make it into 2 lines to go to the rear caliper, from there you just block off the line that comes from the front...

As long as you keep both lines on the rear caliper from the foot brake all the brake pressure will go to the rear brake.. Front and rear brakes will work BETTER then new...

So the junction box is all you need to buy? How much did that run you $$ wise? You wouldnt happen to have a part # or anything like that would ya?

Default serious brake problems!!

At first i just switched the break lines like i told you a while ago, then i found out that the rear brake was still hooking up just a little and i didn't want to ware out my pads..

So i got a junction box from auto zone for 7 bucks, ran a steel line from the foot brake to the box that i mounted on the frame, from there i ran the stock line to the rear caliper i had to buy a new braided steal line to go from the box to the caliper because on the 03s its a braided line from the master cylinder to the rear caliper.. Blocked off the line that comes from the front... Yours may be different, on my buds 00 trail blazer it already had a steal line from the foot brake going to the back then it when into a rubber line to the caliper which is much cheaper to do on his because he did not have to buy an new line to go to the caliper...

I hope i explained it right i kinda suck an giving directions via of typing...
