Ive got a 99 xplorer 400 with a few mods.I noticed the other day that all the bushings need to be replaced as they are showing wear.The clutch has 600 miles,some hard,some easy.I found a primary rebuild kit for $150.00 at epi.Instead I bought a used(7 miles) primary off ebay for $125.00.It came off a 98 magnum 4x4.Will this fit my 400?I thought all non ebs primarys were interchangable.I hope they are as this is cheaper than the rebuild kit.Also my factory primary was starting to show a banded area where the atv belt sits and idles.I mean the clutch sheaths(both of them) are not tapered fluidly.I hope you guys know what I mean.There is the natural angle to the sheathes but at the bottom it becomes greatly steeper.I ran a kevlar reinforced belt for 350 miles.Ive heard bad things about them,now I believe.If this new primary doesnt work,Ill relist on ebay.Thanks.Scott.

 

It will fit. They are all interchangeable. You can even put an EBS primary and EBS secondary on if you want.
