Default Predator Dune tires

Are the V paddle the way to go for rec riding in the dunes. Am thinking on getting the Sand Stars for the v-paddle or the Haulers for a straight paddle. What is the all around best-sidehilling, etc? Like to climb steep hills, race also.

Default Predator Dune tires

Graffer,

I own an 03 pred. I started with 20x10x10 10 paddle hauler extremes... too many paddles... it will push them no problems, but I drop down into the trees on the dunes and it dug holes when I tried to corner slow and tight. (just thought I'd share what not to do)

I ended up with 22x11x10 8 paddles... good floatation and doesn't dig holes in the tight slow turns. I side-hill on the steep dunes at winchester bay oregon... The straight paddles make the back end drop sometimes, but it's not an issue for me. My gearing ended up being a 13 tooth on the front and a 38 tooth on the back.

My recommendation is the hauler extremes... nice tire... go everywhere I want to go. Don't get the mohawks for the front... get dune runners or equivallent...

Also, consider removing your skid plate if you ride the sand. The sand builds up under it and gets you high centered. You gain a few inches of digging as well... The skid plate incorporates the chain guide. So I drilled another hole in the skidplate mount and installed a chain guide off a Banshee.
