Where can I find a good durable tach that will work on my 2strokes and my 4strokes,be interchangable, durable and not cost an arm and a leg?

I got one out of Cabela's and it was digital and didn't work good , took forever to up date. That Tach runs off the spark plug wire and would work for 2 and 4 strokes and costs about 40 bucks. I wouldn't recommend it at all .

I have this Tach on my scrambler, it works on 2 and 4 strokes.. I have go it wet with no problem, I did have a problem when i got it completely under water for a minute or so when i sunk my scrambler.. It dried out and is working again like new.. I haven't took the time to see if i could waterproof it but i am sure you can with a little imagination..

Its very easy to hook up the wire just wraps around the plug wire and the other to a good ground and your set, also has an hour-meter..

I paid $36 for mine...

Hi-Lifter offers an analogue tach for around 85$ think it works on both 2 and 4 strokes.

I dont want to leave it on the quads.Just need one to tune the clutches with.So it needs to be easy to hook up and read and 4 strokes.

Try AAen Performance. I just ordered ordered one yesterday. They make one specific to a two stroke and one specific to a four stroke. Cost is $55.00 and they are very easy to hook up. One wire to ground and the other wraps around the spark plug wire. Aaen is a performance company catering to polaris. I've ordered from them on several occasions. Good service and fast shipping. Type in www.aaenperformance.com on your search engine and it should take you to their web site. The product # for the tach is TGT14827. The tach is digital.

Sorry ftwflh! Just re-read your post and see that you want one thats interchangeable for a two and four stroke. You would probably have to buy one of each.
