I put my money down on a new Raptor today ,
Before everyone gets all upset let me say that I will sell my 2000 Scrambler for a new 700 SP when they come out. I was not convinced that Polaris, even though they are getting better was going to release a true sport quad anytime soon.
Dont get me wrong I liked my Scrambler, but it always seems like I am abusing it to try to make it ride like a 400EX or I am abusing it to do heavy work. I decieded to sell it and get a Raptor for fun, and a 700 Sp for work. My wife is keeping her Blazer, she loves it, it will soon be recieving an HPD roller sec, HPD trail clucth kit, Split brakes, HPD trail pipe, and some bigger lights.
Sorry but I had to do it
Drew

Drew, It's not a bad choice !!

I ordered one but I canceled it because I was
hoping that Polaris had the scrambler 700 for
this year, my hope are still there but if it's
not this year, i'm going to do like you

BUY ANOTHER BRAND AND MAYBE WHEN THE SCRAMBLER
700 IS FOR REAL, MAYBE I'M GOING TO BUY ONE !!

YOU HEAR THIS POLARIS, I WANT IT FOR 2001 !!

Drew, Still the best choice after a POLARIS !!

Me too! My wife wants to keep the Sport 400 for her ride, so I guess the Banshee is the one to go. My plan is to ride the Raptor a few times to make sure before I sell the Banshee. But the Raptor should be a better all around machine. Then the wife and I will each have reverse and electric start.

pairof98s,

I'm getting rid of my Banshee and replacing it with a Raptor. I had a hard time making the decision, and still am not so sure that I'm making the right one, but am staying the course. I do mostly trails, and don't have any sand or quad drags in this area.

Do you care to share with us why you think the Raptor will be a better bike than your Banshee?

I agree totally with what you said. I had a Magnum 425 and traded for a Scrambler but it is still not getting the job done. I will have to give up the four wheel drive. I too will be purchasing the Raptor and getting rid of my 2000 Srambler 400 I was considering keeping it for the snow and riding the Raptor in the summer but I don't think I can justify keeping a 2000 just to ride for that short of a time in the winter. I will be doing this late winter or spring to make sure The Raptor has no problems. Four Wheel ATV Action test drove it and had nothing but good to say.

Why don't you keep the Scrambler for the missus and sell the TB? Just a thought!

According to my dealer, the 400 Scrambler is dead! And it will be replaced with the 700 twin!

pair of 98's. Not only will you both have reverse & electric start, you can both use the same gas can without a mixup!
