probably a tank of gas or 2... make sure you change the oil after 1 hour... and then after another 5 hours or so... then change it about every 20 hours after that...

Read the owners manual it tells you the specified break in time. I think my friends manual said 20 hours for his EFI but I'm not positive on that.

It did say no full throttle until after 3 hours.

I think my 700 took about 300 miles. You could tell cause the throttle got snappy, and the top end was better. Remeber to go threw the RPM range with the throttle when breaking it in.

Usual break in is about 200-300 miles or 20-30 hours of riding--- change oil after 3 hours and after 7 hours of riding also

Ive got a new 700 efi the thing wount idle when cold it fOULS the plugs. IT'S been back to the dealer 5 times for the same thing It will start when it's cold but after about 5 cold starts it wount run and has to have the plugs changed. The dealer says they don't know what to do. It has 30 miles and 8 hrs of run time and there telling me i dont warm it up so thats 8 hrs and 30 miles how long do thay want a week to warm it up.

The thing get real bag gas mileage two tanks of gas in 15 miles. When it runs it's great no lag off start but not as fast on the top end as the carb type.

Im sorry i got rid of carb 700 for the efi...

sneeker,
If the quad fuel injection set up is anything like a car, maybe your thermostat is not letting the motor heat up enough, and it is staying in "warm up " mode, adding more fuel to warm up a cold motor. If it never gets to the correct temp, it will keep adding fuel, fouling plugs. Or, a coolant temp sensor could be bad, not letting the injection control computer know the motor is warmed up. Your dealer should be able to check these two things out.
