thinking about upgrading to 700efi, how much
Ive got a new 700 efi the thing wount idle when cold it fOULS the plugs. IT'S been back to the dealer 5 times for the same thing It will start when it's cold but after about 5 cldd starts it wount run and has to have the plugs changed. The dealer says thay don't know what to do. It has 30 miles and 8 hrs of run time and there telling me i dont warm it up so thats 8 hrs and 30 miles how long do thay want a week to warm it up.
The thing get real bag gas mileage two tanks of gas in 15 miles. When it runs it's great no lag off start but not as fast on the top end as the carb type.
Im sorry i got rid of carb 700 for the efi I paid with a 3 year warranty and tax 8k

Check out Southernpowersports.com in Chattanooga, TN. Obviously that is a long way from Michigan but it may be worth the drive. I have spoke with another individual from Michigan on another board who plans to make the trip. The out the door price on a SP700/Non EFI is $5899. $6599 for the EFI version. These prices are based on you doing your own financing and not using Polaris Finance. Otherwise the prices are a little higher. Check it out.

sneeker, thanks for the input, real sorry to hear about your problems. it sounds like you should get on the phone to polaris and raise a little hell. sometimes thats all it takes if you're not getting satisfaction from the dealer. btw i heard they are faster after the break in.
motown, when i get the machine back to mich. i'll still have to register it and pay sales tax then, not sure if it would be worth the ride if i decide to do it. seems to me it would be about a 20 hour ride one way. i'm way up north,, 8 hours from chicago or 8 hours from detroit.
