Default No replacement for displacement

Anyone make a stroker or big bore kit of some kind for a 250 trailblazer? Anyone have one if they do and how do you like it?
Thanks
Jeff

dennis at az bad boyz makes a 7 mm stroker, i talked to him and he said that it will take a stock shee with the right gearing. i got the chills when i heard him say that lol. he says the amount of tourqe produced is incredible. oh by the way i dont think he sells it with out his porting and reed mod.

well since u already have a pipe it wont be bad, let me throw this at u, if u do the reed mod and stroker at the same time it will be around 1200. that sounds bad but its about as much as hpd charges for just the reed mod and dennis says to just get the stock carb off of a 400 and u can run the stock jetting. hows that grab ya.

Lot less than a new quad and besides I really like the light steering and easy handleing of my Trailblazer so I'm either going to mod it untill I get the power I want/need. or I guess by a scrambler as soon as I can afford one $1200 would be a nice down payment. Hummmm what to do?

Yes you could do it as I said in the other posts it made a big improvement. I'm not reccomending you do it unless your not worried about the effect it may have on wear. I will take mine apart after a while and see if it's wears out the rings or bore faster (so you may want to wait for that) I took a measurement of wear and will take another after a equal amount of time it may not have much affect on wear at least I hope not. I don't really care about rings cheap and easy to replace but I'm hopeing not to see too much increase in bore wear.
If you do it's not really hard just measure around the piston and mark 8 evenly spaced lines across the top of piston then measure the depth of the ring groove. now take that mesurement and add .047 thats half the dia. of the 3/32 drill you will be making the holes with. this is because you only want half of the hole breaking through into the ring land this puts the gas pressure behind the ring where you want it rather than on top.
So take that mesurment (ring grove depth + .047) thats how far you want each hole in from the outside of the piston so measure in that far and make a mark across each of the 8 lines you made before and thats were you drill it. As for the depth of the hole I went almost to the bottom of the ring grove.
As far as tools go couple of screwdrivers 14mm wrench to get the cyl off ,snap ring pliers for the piston pin, 3/32 drill bit, dial calipers is all I used for the measureing. and a drill press is nice so you can drill the holes good. Took me 4.5 hours to do good luck should you choose to give it a try.
Also I have no idea if more holes or holes of a bigger dia. would be better or worse. 3/32 seemed like a good size to me and 8 holes looked like it should be enough so thats what I did. but if your like me and are willing to risk screwing it up you might try something different.

it sounds hard. i have all the tools but with the drill press do u hvae to drill in at an angle or in from the top of the cylinder? cuz i dont think i could get all even wholes that way. but let me try to figure this out. you mark eight even lines on the top of the piston, then you mesure how far in the ring goes and mark that so you can drill down so the force of compression forces the ring to the outside and if done wrong will just hold the ring in place. oh by the way. i saw in Dennis Kirk that you should have a piston pin puller. is this needed if you have a good pair of snap ring pliers(which i do) thanks for the help. if i do decide to do this i will give you a call and maybe you can walk me through it. scott
