i thought the 500 was around 570 something?the 400 is 470 something..im not saying the 500 wont swing the rearend around but it wont do it as easy as the 400.a friend of mine bought the 500 after i tried talking him into the trailblazer 400 and he tells me all the time,"i wish i would have bought the 400"

 

My manual says the 400 weighs 519 dry. But I too which I had a 400, mainly when I hit the open trails. But, when I am pulling broken down dirtbikes out of the woods, and hitting the TIGHT trails and mud bogs, I am glad I go the 500 for the low end torque

 

according to my supplement sheet,the 400 weigh's 481lbs dry..

 

My manual is for the 99-00 scram. Thats probably the 4x4 too

These are the numbers printed in the Polaris Catalog, there are changes from year to year, EXCEPT on the 2002 to 2003 trailblazer 250 when something (the suspension) did change, there is no weight change [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
As for the 500 scrambler differences the 2000 I belive came with aluminum floorboards, front bumper and wheels factory, they look the same but check them with a magnet ,

I wonder if polaris will put out a 700 twin scrambler? That would be cool.
