Default trailblazer 400 vs scrambler 500?

I was wondering how the 2 compare. My cousin has a 500 tons of tourqe. I never rode a 400, I was thinking about getting on of them in a couple years.

2003 was the last year they made the 400 (Trailblazer 400). 2002 for the Scrambler. Buy one, and with a few mods, you'll leave his 500 behind.

Last year I bought a small 4 STROKE weed wacker, It is acctually very nice. Doesn/t smoke at all and the vibration is minimal in comparision.
Soon 2 stroke engines will be a thing of the past.

The 400 can be built with more horspower than the 500 is ever capable of, and for a lot less money. However, the 500 has more torque than the 400 will make, plus there are bore/stroker kits to get even more torque. They are about equal in speed (both stock). I PERSONALLY feel that they 500 is a better trail machine due to the low end torque. But thats just my opinion. They are two totally different powerplants though

they 400 is a way better trail machine being 100lbs lighter, and also the 400 has the snap to get the rearend around alot more than the 500.the 400 is way quicker and top speed is about equal but add a simple pipe to the 400 and the 500 will be eating your dust allday long..

The 400 is only about 50lbs lighter. But like I say, thats just my personal opinion. And trust me, me scram has no problem bringing the back end around.
