I was just wondering if anybodys old lady is like mine, she rides through the trails like she's driving on the road.I bought her a 00 ex 250 a couple of months ago, just to find out that she scars the he** out of me to watch her ride.Weekend before last we riding alongside a hill on a trail we have rode lots of times, well she found the only small tree stump on the hill with her frt tire, over she went!Luckily she only got scraped up,the worst part is she thought it was no big deal and I should take her riding everytime I go.My son and I try to tell her that sometimes it is to rough for her to go with us but she gets mad !Sorry for a long post I just had to tell somone else to see if I'm the only one going through this.

well, what she is probably doing is concentrating too much on the driving part. Just tell her not to worry about the quad and watch where she is going!
i did this when i started driving cars..i was so worried about if i was going too fast or too slow, or what gear was in and i wouldn't pay attention to what was in front of me or behind or beside me...

Personally,
I like women ATV riders.. For the most part, they wear very little clothing, like to get nasty, and if you have ever watched three intoxicated 25 year old girls sitting in a mudhole wrestling with one another.. you would UNDERSTAND!!.. hehehe..
My girlfriend is a good rider... Shes laid back most of the time, like to just cruise.... But, when you get her near a mudhole.. DUCK.. she will shower you with buckets of mud... That Scrambler will THROW some mud...
I think it will come to your wife as she gets more seat time.... She's gotta figure out clutch, shift, watch where shes going, look out for where everybody else is...etc...
If you have access to pasture land.. that helps ALOT... Don't try and "teach her" how to ride... that just seems to **** them off...
Just take her and her quad out there... you stay at the truck.. and send her out riding... It has been my experience that its easier to help women understand the bike and whats going on when you just put them out there and let them figure it out... Pasture of flatland will let her do that WITHOUT too many dangers.

I made the mistake of calling my wife a "slow-poke"...she got my Xplorer going so fast on nasty terrain that I almost had a heart attack. Ever see the back wheels just jump from side to side in and out of ruts at 40 mph? She almost killed herself. (won't admit it though)

Well I don't have a wife because I'm 15,
But I have this cousin that's 13 and thinks she's the best rider. She goes in mud and gets herself all muddy and then it's like in 5th gear and she can't figgure out why she isn't going anywhere...I yell "GEAR IT DOWN" shes like
"NO IT'S FINE" and she almost busted the engine up and it's like no big deal because it's not hers.

I can't help wondering how much easier it would be if the woman in question didn't have to shift. Face facts gents, most woman just like to gas it and go. This is very true, especially of the uninitiated. The less hassle, the more fun she'll have. This is true of my current G/F Celeste. She LOVES her Trailblazer. Frankly, I don't have the patience to teach someone how to shift when they ride. It's automatic to me, as I learned on dirtbikes, but now I prefer autos.
It's interesting to note how fast Celeste gets going. In tight woods I turn around to look and she is there. I can't say the same for wide open spaces though. My Sport is SOOOO much faster/quicker than her Trailblazer, although we are working on that slowly but surely.

I know I am going to catch h#ll for this but the majority of womem drivers whether they be in cars atvs or other moving vehicles which require skill are not very good at it. In my opinion most woman are just not good drivers and of course this is my opinion but I have to admit I would like to go riding with mudmachine hehehe...

Hey Jaime do her like I do everybody else on this one tell her to read the statistics on woman drivers. Considering the ratio of woman drivers to men who are licensed to drive the woman out wreck them I believe it is 3 to 1 or 2 to 1 but it is one of those...so I rest my case hehehe
