Kryptonite makes a 30 Ft cable that's braided. It's supposed to be very hard to cut beacuse it's braided and not spun. It costs about $30 at Home depot. I use it every time I leave the house with my Quad.

 

I have a 2 system security system to protect my quad. It's called two Pit Bulls they won't come near my place

 

Well my security system isn't as elaborate as motion sensor and cameras. It's just the way we are in the country. We use a Remington 870 12 guage and a lab that sleeps in front of my quad. No need to worry if we lose power, both are self container and one works for dog food.

 

Kind of a funny story how some atv's got stolen 2 summers ago. 2 guys who worked for a shingle distributor stole the picker truck from work, went two two seperate houses and picked the atv's up and over the fence. The 2 were caught by witness neighbors reporting to the cops. Goes to show you nothing is safe even in your own yard. Sort of off topic but still an intersting story.

 

The problem we're having in the area I live is people buying used quads off private parties and paying for them with a FAKE cashiers check. I have heard of at least 3 quads getting ripped off this way in the last 6 months. If your selling your quad make sure you take CASH ONLY!!!

 

My security system consits of 2 AK-47's, 1 AR-15, 4 12-GAUGE shotguns, 1 1911 .45, 30-06,
30-30, SKS and a pit bull.( we do alot a hunting)

 

PRETTY NICE HUNTIN RIFLES YOU GOT THERE. THAT'S HOW WE DO IT WHERE I COME FROM "I DONT DIAL 911." I JUST CALL THE MEAT WAGON. I KEEP MINE CHAINED UP TO MY OTHER QUADS AND THE LAWNMOWER AND ALSO HAVE A SECURITY SYSTEM.

 

we had a really stupid criminal in my neighbor hood. He/she broke into several cars and stole minor stuff from my nextdoor neighbors on both sides and stole a bike; all while my quad and my dads were stupidly sitting in the front lawn wiht the keys in them. I dont know if we had good luck or he/she had bad luck.

 

boy that sure makes me wonder... were i live i can leave my toys outside with the keys still in them and never had a problem with someone stealing something, but we do have a problem with our dogs jumping into other people's cars though[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

i put two krytonite locks on my sprocket, and then i have a disk brake krytonite lock that goes on the disc

i then take out the spark plug

you can buy a hardend steal lock that are very good as well

i also chain my front left shock to my parire

it took my 6 years of busting my *** to save up for my quad( which happened to be the predator)

OVER MY DEAD @SS WILL ANYONE STEAL IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
