I have heard of a good running trail blazer in that area , he runs a FTZ alky carb . I am not sure of it being stroked . The owner of this machine races drags at Bonne Terre . The tale does sound a bit much , but I really don't know . Piston port motors can run great on the topend , it is bottom end they lack . Jerry goodman told me about this , he talks here as A400L.

Yes, the TBlazer actually exists and is owned by an older gentelman named Roy Chasteen, of Farmington, MO., about 10 minutes away from St. Joe State Park (Flatriver).
Roy owns a TRX250R/CR500 hybrid with an FTZ alky carb and NOS, among other mods. He drags it at a local sand drag spot (Bonne Terre, MO.). This thing is one bad '*****, and will run a 4.15 ET on a good day. Roy weighs about 250 though, I'd like to have the opportunity to make a few runs see if it can get under 4. I've got some pics of it, but am just to computer illiterate to scan and post them.
Anyway, the TBlazer is a '00 that he bought for his wife. Unfortunately, although not suprisingly, the second time out the motor siezed up and melted the piston. During the rebuild Roy punched out the cylinder .040, dropped in a forged Wiseco, shaved the head .030, ported it himself, HPD pipe/silencer combo, clutch kit and finished it off with a 38mm Mikuni TM alky carb from FTZ and a set of Skat-Trak paddles.
I have personally witnessed this 'lil 250 put a spanking to some Banshee's. Of course we're takling about a 300' race. Most built bikes will still pass it on top.
The most ingeuiness (sp?) part about it is that he uses the OEM oil reservoir as his flush tank. Since Methanol cannot be left in a motor more than a day, if it's not being used. When he's done riding he mearly turns two inline petcocks and the carb will drink from the gas (110 oct.) tank and clean out the system.
Roy is a super nice guy and knows his stuff. He has offered to help me duplicate this flush system on my 400 when I get my FTZ carb, hopefully within a month.

He was talking about the trx/cr500R also but he was most impressed with the t blazer.Do U run at bonne terre sand drags???If so do U know Davey Eubanks????He runs a kawasaki 500 triple on aly 3 wheeler. It has pumper carbs drag pipes,12 paddles taller haulers. The motor is still in the original frame but he added a atc250r front end and swing arm.He has a big green ford van and enclosed trailer. He also runs a 86 atc310 ported, polished head decked, rad valve,40 mm carb.HE runs a 5.6 at 55mph on the 500 and a 5.8 at 50 mph on the 310.My freind are thinking about converting a 250 twin 2 stroke kawasaki to a 3 wheeler like this or stick the motor in a qaud chassis.
