Default big man on a 4wheeler

hey guys,
I just got a 97 Trailblazer, and my father in law loves it, I am not sure he is serious about getting one anytime soon, but what should he be looking at when he does. The twist is he is 6"8, and about 350lbs. I'm partial to Polaris machines, but what do you all think would be the best machine for him to do a little work with and do a little trail riding with too?

I would say a 500 sportsman HO, that will do work and play at the same time, if he has the money and wants bigger he can always go up to a 700.

I would agree....500HO ought to move his ample frame around....the 700 would be my next choice.

What about the 600? He likes that one, but was just curious as to what some experienced "ATVers" thought.

The 600 is a good machine I'm sure, but the 500ho and the 700 have a better reputation, not many people get a 600 for some reason. It is usually a 500 or 700.

I have a 600, and love it. I'm 6'5 320 , and the 600 will haul me as fast as I want to go. It has plenty of low end torque, a smooth ride, and handles good. If I was him I would not shy away from a 600.

I've read that the 600 is better than the 700 because it's almost as powerful but it doesn't have the frame stress of the 700. I don't really know.....

I do know that my buddy can fly on his SP500....of course he's only about 5'10" and about 150lbs!
