Default 03 700 trans. spring question?

I have a v force and have weight, primary spring, and clutch cover mods. my father just bought a 03 700 and wants it to rev less when it takes off. this is his first auto atv and he doesn't like how it revs. what spring would help with this. I haven't taken apart yet, does it have two shims behind the primary spring? if so I guess I will just take one out, that will probbally help. thanks for the info

I've wondered the same question. I kind of wish it would engage at a lower RPM for easier transition from stop to rolling. I was going to try a lighter spring to start with also. My only concern is that when I start pulling something heavy, I might have increased belt / clutch wear.

Get ahold of COB at ATV Quad Squad . He is the resident master of the Polaris clutch system and a HeelClicker guru. He should be able to hook you up with what you need or at least point you in the right direction.
