Thanks for all your support guys. Yesterday after talking with polaris tech services and the dealership we've come to a final decision. I will be getting a brand new 00' scrambler 400 4x4 with hpd pipe and clutch kit, k&n filter, all installed by the dealer, for an even trade with the 00' scrambler 500 lemon. I had already installed a pipe and clutch on the 500 so this still leaves me about $400 short, but I owned it for 3 months so I guess I can live with this. Everybody who reads this should say a prayer tonight before they go to bed and pray I don't have another lemon. If your wondering why I switched to the 2 stroke, it's because I rode my buddies and loved it.

Man that is great I don't think I would complain about the $400 bucks, just goes to show fellows Polaris is getting on the band wagon on improveing there service and makeing their customers happy by replaceing your machine...score one for Polaris...I think that it was pretty big of them replaceing your machine...

Wow, what a deal. You really can't complain about that. I think you will have better luck with the new machine.

I totally agree that was a very nice gesture on polaris' part and i hope its what we can expect from them in the future. I have been disappointed in their customer service, in trying to get a manual before they went online, but now Maybe my '99 SP500 will have a 700 brother! I'm just glad i haven't had any quality problems.

4man2k, before you go putting your uninformative 2 cents in, read the whole thread. If you would have bothered going to the end, you would know that he already got rid of it.

I must admit that my 4manES is not the most fun quad, but it is certainly is not boring. I bought it for trail riding and i dont regret it, but now i am buying a sport quad for fun.
