EFI stalls out when plowing
#1
I just hooked up my EFI to a plow, and getting snow today decided to try it out. It has 10 hours on it, and I noticed when plowing, that changing gears, such as low, to reverse, it would stall out. It did it like 10 times today. Never had an issue with it before. The fuel guage read full fuel, but when I opened the tank, it was pretty low, though I could still see gas slopping around on the bottom, so I know it isnt completely empty. Do you think the issue is that it just needs fuel, and its starving out? If so, is there anything I can do to get my fuel guage to work properly, as it most deffinately is not completely full, as the guage is saying it is. I know these fuel guages arent the most accuarate things, but full, when empty, is another matter completely. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The answer to your gauge problem is relatively simple: Have the dealer pull the fuel pump assembly and adjust the float arm so that it doesn't contact the side of the tank.
As far as your EFI dying when you shift, I am afraid I don't have an answer for you. It should not happen, of course, but there are many questions that need to be answered. Have your dealer replicate the problem and then call into Polaris for some technical advice........

I will have the dealer look at the gas gauge when I am able, thanks. As for the stalling, it seems to be a direct cause of the gas gauge, that is, I was out of gas. Filler her up, and no stalling so far.

I had a stall incident this weekend. Gauge said about half full on a steep grade. Leveled out on trail, I was still in low gear. It stalled out and quit while driving... I thought "not now". It started right back up though. Only happened once but was a little unnerving.
Does ETC on 700 kill the motor completely if it detects a problem if throttle or only while the condition exists? I was brainstorming thinking about what could've caused this.
The lower than normal gas has me thinking that may be it though.
Where in tank does fuel pump pull fuel from? Front or rear?
Thanks!
