I hooked up a cheap horn that I picked up at NAPA the other day. It was a very easy instal, and works great. My reverse override button is now a horn button. PERTY KOOL!!. I was considering getting an air horn, or a road runner (beep beep) horn, but they were more $$$$ and I wasnt even sure if this project would work, but it did

Its a factory GM replacement horn, with a low tone. Its loud I would say around 120db.

Really I just wanted to get 800 posts, , but I put horns on three of our quads(the eton had one already). I think they should be standard equipment. How many times have you tried to yell at your buddies when riding. Just doesn't work , but the horn does. I used a handlebar mounted kill switch as the horn button and a generic atv horn. It was really important for the kids to be able to get our attention. Also if for some reason they get turned around on the trail and I don't notice right away, they know to stop and start honking til we find em.

So you should use a 12 volt car horn instead of a motocycle horn? Did you wire it right to the battery with a fuse and then ground it to the frame somewhere? What fuse should you use?

It is a 12v car horn. I wired it to the reverse override button (purple wire) and then grounded it to the frame

BBS, do you have your override button disabled from its original purpose?

What fuse would a horn require?
