ehh... it pulls harder... but it wasnt a knock you off your seat and hold on power gain...
my buddy's yfz w/o the cammod beat me... we were very close and i was catching him.
he has 18" tires with a 15T sprocket, HMF fullsystem and a k&n... and is also 70 pounds lighter than me.

Hozed-
Yeah, I was worried about noise, I guess I didn't realize that the HMF pipe was sooooo loud. My dealer told me it was a really good pipe, but they weren't sure about the noise. The pipe is great, at LEAST 5 HP gain. I can't believe how loud it is, but thats ok, I ordered something to make it quieter. One of the mechanics let me try these spark arrestors, I think he said they are made by Yosh. You take the plate off of the back of the pipe, set one of these in, and bolt it back on. It is a round disk with the spark arrestor built on, the kit comes with 3 different sizes. I lost power but, it quieted it down quit a bit. You can't go quieter without cgoing weaker. I had him order me a kit. I will be able to use them around home and on the trails, and easily take them off on the race track and unleash the mad HMF power!

I also bought an HMF on our trip down to Oregon Last month. It is loud but still worth every penny. It seems to pull as hard as any 4 stroke I have been on before.
Also using K&N Pod filter w/skin and 180 Main jet.

I agree ... ftwflh .... I started with the 160 .... knowing it would probably be to big ...... played around with it, really rich ...then went down to the 150 which " I THOUGHT" would have been perfect for the pipe set-up but still ...... wasn't able to make it run CLEAN through the throttle range ...... so I put the 130 back in and adjust the air mix and it SEEMS to be perfect ....
and yes I WILL check my plug before during and after a ride !!!! thanks, I may try to get the 150 working properly ..... something may be clogged or in need of re- adjusting , though It was just cleaned and re-set
I agree got2gofast 180 !!!!! yikes ,,, but like mine if it runs GOOD than so be it !!!! only time will tell ???
