PVT Drive Clutch
2002 scrambler 400 4x4. I am having problems with my rear swing arm PIVOT Bolts coming loose on me. I have no problem tightening up the side with pull starter, but the other pivot bolt is tucked behind the PVT inner cover. My question is how do I get the Drive clutch off so I can remove the inner cover, and tighten my swingarm bolts. Do I need the special tools that the manual calls for or os there another way. I have removed the center bolt from the drive clutch but the drive clutch did not want to pull off easily. Also will the drive clutch stay in-tact when I puill it off. Any tips or suggestions would be great.

The threads are 3/4 inch fine thread pitch. You can use a bolt with a nut welded on it, OR use a trailer ball with that thread, and a 3/8 extension, if you dont want to buy the puller. Also, the swing arm pivot bolts are suppose to have loctite on them so they wont come loose

I think they are just loose, the pivot bolt keeps coming completly undone on the chain drive side of the quad, I want to take the PVT apart just so I can check if the other side is loose. The pivot bolt will literally fall out, I used a ton of red loctite and torqued it to 150 ft lbs this time so i hope it should not fall out again. Last time I used a hand ratchet to tighten it, so I don't think I got it near tight enough.
