I bet you wouldn't get much more than a grand, depending on mods and stuff, and it would be hard to find a decent sport quad for that. I say who cares who's fastest, as long as you're having fun!!

I don't know about your area, but here you can get on a predator and ride for only $49/mo. for 24mo. and by that time things may change and then pay it off or make the normal payments. Even if you decided to take the 2 yr. warranty instead, I'd imagine you could go to your bank or credit union and get a decent rate on a 3,4 or 5 yr term. $6300 @ 9% @ 4yrs = $156/mo.
Sell your t.b. $1000 and you could make payments for about 6mo. anyway.

I'm very tempted to get a Predator and a 700efi. with these deals out there.

Those deals are good ONLY if you can make the required payment each month (only $50), but, if you don't send in $50, the interest skyrockets to like 18%, and 50 dollars a month for 24 months is only $1200 dollars paid off.......I got into trouble with a Yammy card, but thankfully my Mom saved my a$$ and now I just have to pay her back, instead of getting sued....I personally will stay away from the credit card deals going on by various manufacturers....There's a lot of fine print most people skip over because of the excitement of having an affordable payment for their dream quad.

Just for another example, my cousin financed 5 grand in May of 01 for a new Warrior on the Polaris card, and now, almost 3 years later, owes $5400, even though he made minimum payments. The interest and late fees kicked his a$$.

that $49/month thing is not a good idea unless you will have money soon to pay it off. $49 covers interest only. After 2 years is up you will still owe almost ALL the principle!

Means two years later you start paying full price for a 2 year old bike !!!!

The point is that a predator is afordable if you really want one. Of course you allways want to pay anything off as soon as possible to avoid interest. If it did get tight one month its nice to know you could just pay $49 at least for the first two years.

THIS IS JUST AN IDEA.
