I started taking it apart. It made me feel bad so I quit. My crank case is broke on the left side for sure. I haven't taken the clutch cover off on the right side yet so I don't know about it.

Pennyless, we feel your pain, but if it makes you feel any better, I don't know that they've had any issues with the right side of the case!

Hey guys, what has to be done to weld the HPD sopport? does the topend have to come off? Or just remove clutches and covers? I would imagine that the heat would ruin the base gasket? I think ive seen pics of it, but dont remember where it goes.

If you order the piece to weld on, it comes with instructions and according to the if the welder knows what they are doing and weld it quickly, it can be done with the engine together. I"m getting ready to have it done with the engine together!

Yea Bubba you created a lot of horsepower now all you need to do is figure out how to build a stronger fence. Too many of those ponies wanted to run out the top of my crank case. I talked with Rick Ritter yesterday now all I need to do is decide how far I want to go. I am leaning towards a new bottom end with my crank. Bubba How much HP do you think your beast is creating? I know that a race ported piped big bore on gas is around 72.

Pennyless I'd say you'd be looking at about 80-82hp!

G-Force racing, Now defunked. Made a nice girdle kit. My friend has it but has since returned his scrambler to stock. You might be interested in something like that. Maybe some of you remember what I'm talking about. I think they only failed because their service stank.

They were also called. FTR

His quad already the girdle kit on it. This is something that strenghens the cases from the extra force all the hp and head girlde puts on the cases.

Pennyless, I guess I'm trying to keep your name in use. I would have to agree with Bob on the HP rating. I would be disappointed if it didnt put out at least 80 now. Keep in mind that the cylinder you have was the first race "experimental" cylinder I done. When I do others now they get done a little different. But after reworking it this last time I think we dont have a power issue to worry about.
