Rear shock adjust knob, when do i want 8 and when do i want 1?????

The **** on the remote rezzie is used to soften or harden the ride...1 is soft and 8 is hard. I always leave mine at 1, but I only weigh 150lbs( I do jump somewhat large jumps tho too). I would set it at one, I think most people do.

i just picked up my predator on thursday and i was wondering the same thing.........i weigh bout 160lbs.

Run it as soft as you can without the shock bottoming out frequently, the terrain and your speed will dictate what the setting needs to be. The higher the setting, the more resistance there is to compressing the shock. The rebound adjustment also affects the shock extension speed, you don't want it so slow that the shock packs up and doesn't extend quick enough for the swingarm to cycle through the bumps but also you don't want the extension speed to fast where it wants to throw you over the bars on a hard hit. The compression and rebound need to work together to give you the best ride, however you will have to experiment with the settings to find what you like.
