Default 2001 scrambler 500 2x4

i ordered a drive belt 3211048 polaris number, max1121 dayco number and after installing it seems to be too tight revved out to fast. everything is the same on the quad before and after the belt change. it seems that my oem # for the quad is 3211077 which i can't seem to find. some of the sights i looked on say the 048 belts fit all polaris's. not true correct ? any comment or help would be appriecated.

BBS, have you put any time on the new belt? They take a ride or two to loosen up. How do you like it? What did you end up paying for it?

schl48a that should be the correct dayco belt for you. It will stretch some for the first few rides. You could have gone with the 1121m2 as well but they measure the same. Some one may have put an EBS belt on yours by mistake.

actually i got a hp2003 (max 1121) witch i am told by dayco the hp 2003 is there newer belt. i think i paid 25.00 or so. maybe 30 shipped off ebay.also my secondary spring broke again so i have to repair that . let you know more when i am done. thanks.
P.S. also dayco says hp2003 is the one for the scrambler and polaris # is 3211077.
but i've read on internet it is 3211048. that part is confusing so i am waiting from dayco with a reply.

Fishslab. I only made a few passes up and down the drivway with it. So far I really like it. A lot better grip than the OEM. It felt a lot like my old SP700 belt. I did notice that it creeps in gear. I guess I will just have to break it in. i paid I believe $34 with tax from a local snowmobile shop
