Default Info on 04 Scrambler

Im really considering buying a 04 scrambler but im just wondering some things yet. Does the scrambler seem to have alot of low end and high end or in other words have alot of power? How fast does it go? Is it easy to ride wheelies with? And how is the scrambler on mud, snow, water? Is the scrambler good on the track? Please if someone who has the 04 scrambler give me a reply thanks

Well i had a 03,same quad just different plastic...

They have a good all around powerband, lots of low end torque they make around 38-40HP stock... Top speed is somewhere between 60-65 stock... Wheelies well you can get it to wheelie stock with some effort but, a clutch kit and pipe make it wheelie like nothing just tap the throttle and the front end comes up... Mud, snow etc is where the scrambler really shines, even in 2wd it can go through stuff most quads can only dream about....I took mine down a creek and the water was well past the PVT cover and it went through it like it was on dry ground no problems there..

I never had one problem with mine always started up,never failed me...

As for tracks, they are ok,but it wont be anything like a sport quad....

With mods the quad is awesome!

The reason i sold mine and got a predator was,i'm now riding tracks most of the time, fast trails and dunes.. Before i road muddy trails and many places 4WD was needed,
now i ride were speed and handling are needed...

Good luck

I have a 2002 scrambler which is very similar to the 04. As for power this machine is certainly capable of anything you throw at it, a lot of people like to hop these machines up for a bit more juice, but in stock form it does get the job done. Mine is 4x4 so it is not that easy to ride wheelies because the front end is so heavy, getting the front wheels in the air is not a problem it is just riding for a while with them in the air is a little tricky. Awesome for mud and snow because fo the 4x4, other quads like the sportsman would be a bit better in this area because of the high ground clearence they give you, but you sacrifice the sportiness of the scrambler. NO GOOD on the track this machine is far to heavy to be handling big jumps and whoops, for the track something like the predator would be much more ideal, the scrambler is a very sporty trail machine, I love mine and would not trade it for the world.

basically other than 4x4, the pred is better(unless you plan on really modding it) If you can get by without going through mud and snow and water a lot, then get a pred, it is much better in my opinion.
