Peak RPM's of Sp600??
#2
Not sure what peak RPM should be on the 600. But keep in mind if you are not reaching peak RPM, it may not be the throttle cable. There are other issues, namely clutch tuning, that may be keeping you from reaching peak RPM. This is probably not the 'right' thing to do, but I put mine in neutral and quickly blipped the throttle to it's peak RPM (w/o load). So, in my humble opinion, you should be able to tune the engine / clutch to get close to that number. Once you know your engine is tune (carb is perfectly jetted), then you can work on dialing in the clutch to the speed/power you want it to deliver.

It's a new quad, have seen 6k in the past and around 5900 now. It runs fine and I don't know what R's it should be pulling. It's deffinatly not clutching, and it may be fine the way it is. It may have been overrevving when hitting 6k. That's what I'm trying to find out. Either way we're only talking 100 or so RPM.... Just was curious if anybody knew what RPM peak power was at. I can take it from there.
Let me put it this way... for you 2004/2004.5 Sp600 owners out there, what is the VDO showing for peak RPM at WOT?
