I was just wondering how often you guys change your oil, grease all the nipples and lube your chain.

I've heard many different stories from people and want to know the right time periods.

Basically I give each zerk at least one squirt after each wash. Then I carefully pull back each of the steering pivots (don't forget the short Pro-steering pivots)and give them a squirt of Tri-flow. I also catch the chain w/ the Tri. As for oil changes, 50-100 hrs depending on what you're doing w/ the machine.

what!?!?!?!?
geez modquad...
every 10 hours!!!
its the cheapest way to keep your engine running clean... oil breaks down after awhile... and 50-100 hours is WAYYYY past its break down time.
i change mine quite often... call me crazy... but i like my oil looking only tinted black....

Only tinted black, often times only means there's a level of oxidation. In this age of sythetics, and semi-synthetics, you can run the oil for longer periods of time. Periodic filter changes (or cleanings, I use the Scott's Performance re-useable stainless) is still a good idea. Don't want to hit that filter bypass mode. Also, I run the CFM +1 qt oil tank. That matched up with all the cooling additions, the machine is tasked that much less.

The yamalube in my yfz seems to hold up well, but I was never a fan of the PS-4. If running that, I would recommend changing every 10-15 hours. I changed oil in the pred every other race. And I grease it after every wash, and chains get lubed after every wash. Water and soaps can get in places, and rust is not your friend. Lube after every ride!
