pred steering stem

Default pred steering stem

What is a good way to tell for sure that your steering stem is bent? please help!!!!!!!!!!!!! a.s.a.p.

Default pred steering stem

I guess I normally just eyeball 'em. You can do this best w/ the front plastic off, gives you longer field of view to obtain reference from. You can dead nuts straighten the steering, then measure from each grip down to the ground....for accuracy you could drop a plum line. You can also remove the stem, and role it on a flat surface, meanwhile watching the end to see if it wobbles. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Hope this helps.

thanks ken, I will look into that, I heard the stock pred stems are junk and they bend real easy from other riders and I guess polaris lists them for like $50.00 is this true?

they list for 80$ and yes they do bend easy.

I was jumping my pred last weekend. When i would land i could feel it flex to the side i put pressure on,they are junk in my book...

I'm going with HPDs anti vibe stem soon...

I am surprised you all think they bend easily becuase for all the doubles and triples Iv landed ny stem is still in mint condition.

i found it to be fine for riding... but even on the simplist roll over... they would fold.
