400ex vs trailblazer
#3
It isn't out of the question. Talk to Rick Ritter and Im sure he can do alot of things with it to get it up to speed. You could get his pipe kit than port and polish it. Shave some weight like floor boards, loose the steel rims and get some aluminum ones. Gear it One or two teeth up in the front gearing and go down to a 38 rear sprocket. You will loose alot of bottom end but, you will hang with a 400ex. I know lots of guys are goin to call me stupid but me and my friend always race. He has a 400ex with a White brothers pipe. He can beat me pretty bad put he can't blow the doors off of me. I have my trail blazer with RCR Stage 1 kit. Just talk to Rick Ritter of RCR and he could do lots of mods and help you out alot or you can just sell what you got and go buy a 400ex or a banshee. Well later dudes,Kenny

My wife rides a 00 Trailblazer with the RCR stage1 kit and there is still no way in h***it will hang with my 400EX.
On the flip side I will say Rick Ritter can get ALOT more power out of your TB for very little cash if your not ready to step up to the plate and purchase something else.

That's alot of money to drop into a TB to make it run with a 400EX. A 300EX would be a better challenge. If you have the money to spend on numerous hop-ups on the TB, just buy a Sport/Scrambler (400L)used even if you want. Then add a pipe & clutch kit & be out front
Not only would it probably be less money than hopping up the TB, you don't have to tear into it & remove the floorboards etc. Later on if you decide you want more speed the 400L can provide !
Just my opinion. I have a TB, it's a great quad but not up to the speed of a 400EX.

No way in H***??? uhh,ok. Let me guess your right on that one. I would say just sell the Damn thing to make everyone happy, but im sticking with my trail blazer. I think if you did tons of mods, like everything out there for it, you could keep up with it. I mean come there is A WAY IN HELL, I THINK. You are right on just selling it and buying something else for the cost of it. I don't know everything but Im only 14, so give me a break. Welp later dudes,Kenny

If you want to beat a 400 ex, just stay behind him until he goes up a hill with a 5 inch or deeper rut. When his rear end gets stuck on the rut and has to get off and pull it back, just blow on by him. LOL Just kidding. Remember your trying to make a 250 cc keep up with a light and fast 400 cc. The laws of physics and common sense are not on your side. Ride safe, Ride often.

I have said it before, and I will say it again. I blow away the 400ex I ride with almost everytime we go riding. And my TB is stock. Wanna know why? The guy on the 400ex can't ride for crap. He is actually a little scared of the machine. And to top it off, the terrain we ride is not fast. It is very rough and slow. So my 22 inch tires, reverse, and slightly more ground clearence help a lot.
Don't get me wrong, I would trade this guy bikes in a heart beat if he wanted, but this area is not really kind to the 400EX, or any quads like it.
