Default Street tires for an EFI!

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some good tires for riding paved roads. My 04.5 EFI is almost street legal, and I wanna tear it up...tractionwise. I have been looking at the polaris spider trac tire, looks really cool, but it also looks a little too balloony, like it wouldnt do well at 50-60 mph...

Please remember I am going to ride only on pavement with these tires, so I don't want stupid radials...
What I would really like is if Yokohama or Nitto made ATV Tires...That would be some sweet stuff...

I believe that Hoosier makes ATV tires for flat track racing

Dennis Kirk offers an ITP Hard Surface wheel kit that uses 14" rims with tires up to 195X70X14

You can see them HERE

ps- you could always slap some good small truck mud grips on the rims

What is there to making a streetlegal quad? Why are street legal quads not manufactured straight from companies? Throw a crotch rocket motor on a quad, LOL.

i think the cert of origins say right on it that this atv is intended for off-road use only. and it's written throughout the owner's manual as well.

why do you want to ride it somewhere it wasn't designed for and is illegal in almost all 50 states?

it's just not safe.IMHO

Actually, they are legal for street use in many states (mostly out west and also in parts of Canada), Michigan isn't one of them however. There is nothing you can do to legally license a quad for use on the street in Michigan. The inherent instability in corners without a differential is the reason most states outlawed atvs for street use.

Yea, my uncle has been putting ninja 600 motors in quads for years. he has put them into a honda 250r, lt250 , lt500 and a kawi tecate. it fit the best in the suzuki 500. but was best in the 250rframe hands down. they are real fun to ride at the dunes here in oregon .
