just remember this may drastically lower the value of it when u want to sell it. thats teh only reason i stayed away and might just go to the trail lighten so i can keep it.

the main reason for me wanting to remove electric start is the weight.i weighed the starter and the battery on a bathroom scale and it said 15lbs.thats a good start to lighten her up a little.im not to worried about resale value.

I removed my 99 TB 250 electric start and battery then had HPD do the race lightening
on the flywheel. It had a big difference with throttle response.

how much of a difference would i see with a regular trail lighten? im planning on selling mine at the end of the season or beginning of next season so i dont want to remove the starter because u dont know if the person wants it or not.

What would be involved in the trail lightning? I mean, what would it cost, how extensive of a tare down would I have to do to do it? How many hours? Ect.?

trail lightening removes 1 pound and makes a noticable amount of throttle increas and race lighten removes 2.3 pounds i think and the starter which is like 15 pounds and makes a dramatic increase in throttle response. they are both prob about 1 hour tear down.
