I just had about the same problem on my scrammy...first of all I had a bad electical switch on my handlebars so I didn't have any lights...4x4...starter or anything...so I got a new switch..and my lights would flicker when riding...and my starter would work everynow and then..so I ended up taking it to the dealer...it turned out that one of the clips that pluged into my switch...well evedentally a couple of the wires inside the clip were loose or wern't making a good connection..thats what was causing them to go in and out...So it cost me about 25 bucks for them to fix those loose wires but it works A-1 now...thats my two cents though.

Sounds like you have the same problem as me, sp6. The thing with mine is that it very rarely does it if I'm not using the lights. I guess that narrows it down, but I've been unsuccessful in solving the problem with mine. I'll check the clips in the connectors and look for loose wires and whatnot in the meantime. Thanks for the feedback guys.

The entire electrical system is protected by a sealed bag type, self resetting circuit breaker. Problem is, several are not well sealed and water gets in and caused the breaker to freak out causing the flickering and most of the time, corrosion has set in and it's not salvagable. I have seen literally dozens of posts where this has been the problem. Locate this bag and shake it, I'm sure you will hear the water inside. Cut it out of the harness and replace it with a dependable in-line water tight fuse holder and a 20 amp fuse, your problem will be solved.

I had the same problem, guys. There was three of those sealed circut breakers under the nose of my wheeler. Cut all three open, and sure as $hit, one was all corroded to hell. So I switched them all over to sealed fuses, and the problem is now solved. Thanks for all the help.
