Default Sportsman 800??

I sold my 2002 Sportsman 700 a few months back. I am now looking at purchasing a new sportsman. I have heard rumors about a Sportsman 800 for a year now. Does anyone have any information on the 800 coming out? I was thinking about buying the 700EFI, but would like to wait if the 800 is on its way.
Thanks,
Sporty

The sportsman 700 EFI is a 683cc. Where is the 783cc coming from?

¸if you really beleive that engine is a 683cc at max, wait and see,,
you'll be surprised for sure,it is the same engine as the snowmobile frontier 783cc twin, polaris have just debored that beast to built a 700
class quad,an 800 is just a matter of time and money then now...

Well nothing really, Its just Polaris couldn't put it in there ATV sales. Its kinda like opening up a new markit, not for sure but it would be considered a ATV in some states and in others it would be a ORV. Its either 800cc or 800 pounds that it is considered a ORV. Maybe someone that knows more about it will be able to give you more on that.

Some states have limits to what constitutes an atv and is legal for use on atv trails. They restrict use of things with bigger engines like say a Jeep or dune buggy and call those an orv. And our Canadian friend is right about the Frontier sled motor.
