I have a Hot Seat trail pipe, and was wondering what the differences would be between the race pipes and the trail pipes. When I bought mine they really didn't have much to choose from and didn't have the race pipes that they have now. The trail pipe hasn't changed. I like the way the fat of the pipe is all in the front on the race pipe, instead of practically sitting on the trail pipes. The race pipe just look better too. I just race cut my plastic and was limited to how much I could cut off because of the trail pipe and the heat sheild under my leg.

 

The main differance in the trail pipe and race pipe is the RPM rangetrail pipes have a lower more usable range where the race pipe is made for all out topend and you DO loose bottom and midrange with one.

 

which is better for the dunes. I ride trail most of the time, but love riding the dunes more. I am trying to make this beast as quik as I can with the limited funds that I have.

 

You wont see the big gains from a race pipe unless you get race porting to match the pipe. Trail porting for a trail pipe, race porting for a race pipe.
