Default 700 carb or EFI

Hey guys im getting ready to trade in the good ole reliable sp500......and i've been contemplating...should i stick with the 500 model...we know its a good motor and basic machine of what i got now except its the HO. Or should i take the next jump and get the 700...i rode a friend of mines and i love the power, and i am leaning more towards the 700 twin But do i get the carb?? or the EFI???

ive heard alot of positive things about both....and money isnt realy a concern, but i have the kind of luck that if i get the newest and badest...somethings bound to go wrong..... so basically i want to know how the efi's and carb'd models are working out in the field....i want to know both positives and negatives.......

OH and what happend to the Rawhide tires on these bad boys......i rember a while back something about them having to much traction and the sp having to much power...therefore twisting and breaking things?? is that true..........???

and how are these new tires...in the mud and snow...and trail??? any complaints?

Thanks guys.......i just need everyone's input

Luke
**** p.s.**
I got the mower done....and man does it work good....i have about 8 hours on it now...and love it......and i went with making a sub frame for like the plows but ran it all the way to the hitch......works realy well......and thanks again you guys are great...

I would wait for the 05s to come out and get the efi,Also might want to get the extented warranty if your local dealer is good. I like the 500 my self and am waiting for an efi 500.

I have ridden Both of the 700 models. I would take the EFI of the carbed 700. THe EFI is way more responsive.Plus gets better fuel mileage and it is 40lbs lighter.Come with the new Radial tires as well....Do NOT look for an EFI 500 anytime soon.Ploaris is going to make some serious changes in their line of quads in the next year. From what i know and have heard. The sportsman 500 might be on the axe list...But if not. They are planning NO changes to it..Hope this helps you out

wow...i went friday to check out all the models...500 ho's all the way up to the 700's......all i got to say is i came home with a 700 EFI and holy SH*t ahahha i love it.....what a differance and a great deal....i mean...just awesome...this is the first chance i had to talk about it....i put over a hundred miles on already.....and it handled anything i threw at it......i cant wait to just open her up for more then just a couple seconds....

And what surprised me...is how easy it is to turn compared the 2000 sportsman.....its like a dream....WOW i still cant believe it....just awesome......and the POWER is unreal.........and another thing is the radial tires...they do pretty well in the mud and i was in some nasty stuff.....

so far soo good.....ahahha its great

definatly happy with this machine....700 efi all the way baby!!!

later ya ll
