Son-in-law has a '99 SP500. Rear axle started clicking after riding through a creek. We noticed a torn CV boot and cleaned and replaced it. Then the front gear case sheared several teeth and had to be replaced. Rear axle still clicks after cleaning both CV joints. Sound is coming from the hub. Nothing is loose. Clicking is worst when riding circles in reverse. Any suggestions? Thanks

We had a 325 that drove us nuts trying to find the clicking while driving in reverse in circles. Turned out to be the brake pads chattering in the caliper. Put on slight brake pressure and sure enough the clicking stoped. Even had the trans out cause we were so sure that was the problem. Might try it and see if it is doing it to yours.

Riding in circles in reverse ? Is that what you do in Hendricks County ?

What do you do when you get bored ? Get run over by the neighbors golf cart ?

Not the brakes. Must be the hub bearing. Got one on order. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to let you know if the bearing fixes it.

Ya know, you're the one that let your Scrambler loose and hit the neighbors' truck. I just can't figure out why he ran over ME with that golf cart. How's your butt - still sore?

Not when the damned thing is on top of you. A couple of months of really foolish 4-wheelin' and I get nailed - by a Golf cart. Had one arthritic ankle, now the other ankle and the left wrist are sprained and Dave is LHAO.
