Default Quick question about rejetting the scrammy.

I was wondering if i should rejet my scrambler if I was to just change the stock silencer with the fmf turbine core2. I am also running a K&N air filter. I didn't rejet after putting in the filter either so would i be losing any power without rejetting after the replacement. Thanks.

The best way to tell if you need to rejet is to look at the plug.Do a couple runs at 1/4,1/2 and full throttle and see what the plug looks like at each position.

Do as CED said, you may have to rejet.

P.S. Do you have any picture of your Scrammy?

thanks for the replies I'll be sure to check the plug once I get it installed. I'll try to get some pics posted in a day or two.

Quick question, and may sound dumb, but isn't a 260 main fatter than a 250. Looking at the two side by side, it looked as though the 260 was smaller. When ridding the dunes, do you want to be richer?

Redbull-
A 260 is larger than a 250. When riding the dunes, you want to be jetted properly, not too rich, not too lean. However, for sustained WOT operation anywhere, a little bit rich is better than a bit lean; won't overheat as soon.

Well, I figured out that the 260 was just varnished a bit, thanks.

stock scrammy with stock jetting just a k&n,you should be fine, but that fmf is less restrictive than the stock unit for sure,i would go for a
fuel screw riching, than maybe little richer main jet and needle.
