Predator 500..and what I should know
I am thinking about getting a predator. So what is all this stuff that they are hard to do wheelies on them? What is so different about the rear end that prevents them from doing them? My other choice is the raptor. I like that one because it has reverse. I did notice that it is way narrower than the predator. But it probably still handles better than my scrambler. I don't know guys. It is a big toss up.

don't do like i did and drive the pred of a cliff at 55 mph. the bike dousn't like to be bashed into rocks. i will also put up picks of the pred before and after once i get it fixed next week and i will take pictures of the ditch i whent into also. and as far as mods go look at mine below i am very happy with the way it runs. also invest in a trail tech to keep track of the hours. you haft to change oil every ten hours and filter. have fun and take it from me be safe. the only thing that kept me from being paralized was my chest gaurd. always were boots chest gaurd helmet and leathers because you never know when shi! is going to hit the fan.

The Predator is more stable than the Raptor. I can pull the wheels up in 3rd gear now with my mods (haven't tried 4th, maybe). It wheelies with just throttle (no bounce!) in 2nd gear with no tug if the traction is good and I keep my weight shifted back a bit. If wheelies are your thing, be sure and get the '04 version.

my buddy has a 03 and my 04 does feel diffrent. it will be neet to see what 05 has to offer. i also herd by 06 they will have a bike in the 450 cc rang that will match the weight of the honda and yamaha 450s. could and probly is just rumers. look how long it took to make a real sport quad. but atleast they did it right.

Yea I test drove the 2003 predator, and the 2004 predator. The 04 predator shifted ALOT better and I had no problem lifting the front end up. My friend also has a 2003 raptor 660 and I've had the pleasure of driving that machine. The predator, in my opinion, is a much better quad. You feel more stable and on the raptor I was a little more careful going into, and coming out of a turn. The predator will scream when its cornered so there is no problem there. Also Shaman, do you have a link for the air box mods?
