Default Cuts Off!!!

I Just got a new top end on my 1997 polaris sport 400, i was going to go break it in, i rode it for about a 1/2 mile then it cut off, like it ran out of gas. I checked the fuel filter, the petcock, the fuel line...Help me out here.

The gas is on...After it shuts off, it will start back up right away.

I would check if your fuel filter is cloggeg. it may not be allowing enough fuel into the carb for it to stay running, but its letting enough fuel in so that when the bike is off it replenishes the carb enough to fire up again.
