front sprocket for pred

Please can someone help me?
I just installed a sprocket specialists 13 tooth front sprocket part number #564-13 on my 04 predator it still has the stock 37 tooth rear sprocket I went to adjust my chain and it seems that it wont snug up enough back to my 1/4 to 3/8 play in the chain
can anyone tell me if Im doing something wrong here
because I was told us pred owners can use the sprocket specialists sprockets like the 13 or the 14 or the 15 all starting with part#564-
is this true or did I buy the wrong sprocket

i would make sure that you are totally getting all of the travel out of your axle. i've got a 38 rear, and its totally got enought travel to tighten up. you've got the right sprocket, but if you take a link out, you probably can't ever got back to a 15 front, cause that takes all the slack in my case. Again, you've got the right sprocket, maybe your chain is getting worn? dunno, just a guess.

The stock sprocket on a pred is a 14 tooth not a 15. I just got off the phone with sprocket specialists, and I notice from there website the part number has changed from 564-13 to a 643 number, and she said they changed it because the bolt holes on the sprocket part# 564-13 were not lining up with the fixing plate.

I tell ya sprocket specialists are a great company to work with
I have had my old sprocket for a year, but I just opened it
And they are willing to exchange it for me a year later for a $4.00 restocking fee

well according to sprocket specialists the new revised part number for the 13,14,and the15 tooth has been changed from the original old part number because the holes are different to accept our fixing plate and the diameter must be different also, not sure though
so if If I were to exchange it out from a 564-13 to a 643 your telling me it still wont work, well what are all the pred owners changing on there preds in order to make it work
would it work if I were to run the 13 tooth with a 38 rear sprocket?
and what will it do for me in gearing>?
also would I have a problem If I were to drill the fixing plate holes just a tad bigger?
thanks for helping me out hozed anyone else with suggestions?

well like i said... i had to get a new chain...
but adding a bigger rear sprocket will do it... so you can spend about 25$ there.... or spend like 11$ on a new non-oring chain... which is what id do.
