Jetting for altitude

Since I live and ride over 6,000 feet, I'm going to put in the 160 main jet. The service manual suggests changing the main jet for altitude, but makes no mention of changing the position of the 'e'-clip on the jet needle. Is just changing the main jet sufficient, or should I move the 'e'-clip up a notch or two as well?
