Project TrailBlazer R
#1
Wouldn't it be cool to mod a TrailBlazer to the max? This is my list of Mods to do if I had a nice chunk of change laying around:
Boring the Cylinder .060
Installing a Wiseco Piston
Having the Head ported and Polished (All this by RCR most likely)
38MM Carb
HPD Pipe
HPD Clutch Kit
Uni Filter
Lighten the Flywheel
Starter/Battery Eliminator Kit
Oil Pump Eliminator Kit
HotSeat ChromeMoly +1 Swing Arm
Split Brake Kit
Removing Floor Boards and Replacing with Foot Pegs and Nerf Bars
ITP .190 Aluminum Rims
Maxxiz Razorz or ITP Holeshots all around
Fox Struts for the Front
Fox Shock for the Rear
Renthal Handlebar and Grips
HotSeat Skid Plate
Regear it to suit
Purple HotSeat Front and Rear Plastic
What do you think? I will probably not do this but it would be interesting to do these mods and see how far you could push the TBlazer. I always liked 250 2 Strokes, but I understand Polaris' 250 2 Stroke is a way different animal. Still would be cool to surprise alot of people with a Tricked Out T Blazer, not many around that I have evr seen. Add anything I may have missed, or if you think something wouldn't work or you have a better idea post it!!! You never know, I get really bored come winter time.

i had all those mods planned but with the RCR parts. And I put on Red Plastic and a Black Scrambler Seat. My next step was the carb, porting and lighten fly wheel
Another thing is Shave some of the plastic, new handle bars, new stator, and a set of really nice lights. Maybe a set of longer A-arms, UFO, and..umm..i can't think of anything else.
Trailblazer is almost a lost cause. No i'm not saying you can't pull a lot of power out of them. But they do need reeds! Why would anyone make a 2 stroke with no reeds?

I wear Gloves so I dont have to worry about that.
Reeds. I am not sure on the whole concept of them, to be honest. Most all 2 Strokes have em, not the Polaris 250 though. Somebody care to explain the intricacies Reed Induction?
94DGBlaster, Reeds or no Reeds I think the Blazer could be an awesome Quad if done right, sure it won't be unbeatable or anything, but man it sure would surprise a lot of people if done right. I think I am gonna do the work, it surely would be unique.

Well, I tallied everything up and woo boy. Quite expensive for a TBlazer to mod, look below.
RCR Mods:
Cylinder Boring: 35.00
Wiseco Piston: 90.00
Head Porting: 230.00
Head Work (Compression, etc.): 50.00
RCR Stage 1 Kit (AirBox Mod, Pipe, Silencer, Sparky Spark Arrestor, and Green Primary Clutch Spring): 380.00 I already Bought this
FlyWheel Lightening: $75.00
Oil Pump Eliminator Kit: $16.00
Split Brake Kit: $140.00
Steering Post Bushing: $35.00
Shock Wears: $45.00
Throttle Cable (For use after Oil Injection is removed): $19.00
HotSeat Performance:
38MM TMX Flatside Carb: $219.95
Starter Plate: $19.95
HotSeat ChromeMoly +1 Swing Arm: $389.95
ITP Aluminum Rims and ITP HoleShot Tires (All 4, mounted and ready to go): $509.95
Fox Struts Front: $260.00 pr
Fox Rear Shock: $159.95
Grips: $12.95
HSP Handlebars: $89.95
Yellow HotSeat Skid Plate: $75.95
HotSeat Purple Plastic: Front $79.95, Rear $68.00
Other Things:
Foot Pegs: No Idea
Nerf Bars: No Idea
Grand Total: $3001.55 Definately not worth the that kinda money on second thought, jeez. LOL. That would make a nice down payment on a Raptor or the Cannondale. Heheh, Or maybe Polaris' new Sport Quad.
Just outta curiosity, if someone did everything I listed up there, what kinda power would the TBlazer be producing? How would it handle? Jumps? You know; theoretically speaking?
