Better Plow Frame Mount
#1
Is there a better way to mount a plow on a Sportsman? The factory mounting bracket is good, but it hangs down about three inches so you loose a lot of ground clearance. I'm going to use the winch for raising a lowering, so it don't need the rest of the brackets mounted anyway. I was wondering if anyone had found an aftermarket bracket that was flat or if anyone had tips on how to custom make one that doen't hang down so much. (I'd like to leave the mount on all year round.)
Thanks

I'm not sure about the Sportsman, but on my Magnum I used the mount from Shadetree (I forget the brand name). It only hangs down about an 1 1/2 inches. I leave it on all year as the frame on the Magnum is not the lowest point on the vehicle as it is on the sportsman. If you already have the Polaris mount, I'm not sure an aftermarket mount will work for you.
