Front fender problem on Pred (black piece removal)
#12
So I can just squeeze those tabs with pliers and they won't break?? And they will come back to their original shape and form?? Thanks guys for all of the help so far.....I'm just afraid I'll break them.

They wont break if your easy on them. The only part that i didn't like is you have to pull pretty hard on the nose piece to get it off, it seemed like it could snap if i pulled any harder but the damn tabs wouldn't pull through... Its just one of those things you have to play with...

ok well thanks guys...I'll go give it a try, I take it that if I squeeze on the tabs with pliers and pull hard on the nose piece, that it will finally come out.....I called the dealer, and they said that they just "pop" off by pulling on them.....I don't know about that.....maybe I'll try just pulling on it first and forget the pliers, and if it don't work, then I'll have to resort to the plier trick.

Ok guys....I got it to work, all you do is squeeze the tabs with pliers and pull......Then when you put them back in, you just have to use a screwdriver and spread them back apart. Its not a real cool deal, but really the piece should never have to be removed, other than my application. So as I said, I put in the new headlight covers/replacers(which are chrome), and I also got a new set of (I think pro pegs, but could also be rath's)...they are really sharp and stick to the boots well.....they also angle up on the outer edge to keep the feet on better. If you guys want, I can take some pictures and post them.......
